The Breach

Tuesday, August 14th at 6:00PM

Backbone Meaningful Movies, a collaboration of the Backbone Campaign and the Meaningful Movies Project, presents The Breach, plus an advance preview clip of the sequel, The Wild (in production.) The one night only screening will happen Tuesday, August 14, 6 pm at Vashon Theatre, thanks to generous support from Island GreenTech and Vashon Theatre.

When fishing guide/filmmaker Mark Titus learns why wild salmon populations plummeted in his native Pacific Northwest, he embarks on a journey to discover where the fish have gone and what might bring them back. Along the way, Titus unravels a trail of human hubris, historical amnesia and potential tragedy looming in Alaska – all conspiring to end the most sustainable wild food left on the planet.

Mark Titus and Video Editor Eric Frith will be at the screening to talk about the film and what we can do to help save wild salmon.
